Why are you passionate about ObGyn Delivered?
I am passionate about ObGyn as it addresses maternal and neonatal health disparities by striving to provide comprehensive prenatal care to all mothers. Through ObGyn Delivered, I am able to share my love for the field of OBGYN on a daily basis with other students. OBGYN is such a dynamic field and our organization truly includes student leaders in every aspect of research, outreach and MedEd. Now, more than ever, we need providers prioritizing the health of mothers and children!
What would you do if not medicine?
I would be a garden educator! During my gap year, I taught nutrition, cooking and gardening in an elementary-middle school Detroit and I truly believe that the key to a healthy lifestyle is early nutrition education and access. I love teaching young children as they are so eager to learn and grow and what better place to learn about the food we eat than by harvesting radishes in an outdoor classroom!
